By eliminating adhesive in the non-sealed areas, porosity is maximized and sterilization cycles are shortened, providing you with real cost savings. And because manufacturing takes place using an automated heat transfer process, an Osurance® lid costs only pennies more than a standard lid.
When you specify Osurance®, you can breathe easy knowing you're making the best impression, using the highest quality zone coated lid on the market. Only from Oliver.

Osurance® is the only zone coated lid to combine optimal zone coverage, Oliver's exclusive Xhale™ adhesive with sure-seal DotCoat™ technology, and consistent seal integrity. Only Osurance®, only from Oliver.
Osurance® lids feature Oliver's proprietary Xhale™ adhesive. Xhale™ adhesive is a non-toxic, hot melt adhesive coating applied in a zone, eliminating all risk of adhesive contamination of your device. Xhale coating provides excellent hot tack and peel strength, with uniform adhesive transfer. If your lids aren't from Oliver, they're coated with water-based adhesive, which can flake during handling and create the potential of product contamination.
Other unique features include:
- 100% polymer adhesive applied only to the seal area
- unique cohesive separation formulation allowing for clean, smooth peelability
- consistent coat weight offering measurable seal integrity

Is the adhesive on your Tyvek® lid contaminating your medical device? Consider the results of the Tape Test:
We affixed a piece of clear tape to this piece of Tyvek, which was coated in a standard water-based adhesive. After pressing and removing the tape, a dandruff-like residue was left stuck to the tape.
If you're using a water-based adhesive, try the same test on your material and you're likely to get the same result. Is your medical device rubbing up against an adhesive, potentially becoming contaminated?
Osurance® lids from Oliver are zone coated, meaning the adhesive is applied only where it's needed, along the lid flange. With an Osurance zone coated lid, your device is exposed only to uncoated Tyvek.
Why coat the entire lid? Osurance puts the adhesive only where you need it, eliminating exposure to your device and maximizing porosity. And Osurance lids cost only pennies more than standard lids.
Is your medical device being compromised by your coated lid? Contact your Oliver sales representative to take the Tape Test today.

Here's how Osurance® compares to other zone coated lids:
- Only Oliver's unique release liner zone coating process provides for control of the amount of adhesive in the zone, allowing for easy validation. The other available zone coated lid doesn't offer the level of seal accuracy required to meet today's validation demands.
- Adhesive is applied consistently throughout the zone. The precise adhesive application process guarantees every Osurance lid offers exceptional visual seal, seal transfer, and seal integrity.
- The raised, clean outline tells the end-user that your device has been protected and is at no risk of contamination. The smooth peelability speaks volumes about the quality of your device and its packaging.
