MEDTEC China conference to feature White Liu, Oliver Medical, as speaker, August 2007
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...White Liu, Oliver Medical regional manager in China, will address test methods for medical device packaging at MEDTEC China, August 29, 2007 at 3:30 pm. The exhibition and conference will be held at Intex Shanghai, August 28–30.
White Liu will provide an informative overview of considerations that are critical to preventing package failure and ensuring success in the Chinese medical device market.
The presentation will include:
- an overview of testing methods EN 868 and ASTM for FFS pouches, pouches, header bags, and lids
- material types and requirements for flexible packaging (film, foil, paper, and Tyvek®) and rigid trays
- test method ASTM F 2097-01, including safety; barrier considerations; durability, visibility and appearance; package integrity; and seal strength testing
- how to choose relevant test methods
- how to interpret test results and ruggedness of results
White Liu holds a Master of Science degree from McGill University in Quebec, Canada and a bachelor's degree from Tianjin International Trade Institute, and brings to Oliver and its clients extensive international business and consulting expertise. The MEDTEC presentation was co-written by Randy Troutman, Oliver Medical senior engineering manager. Troutman is a Certified Packaging Professional and serves on committees of the AAMI and the IoPP.
