New facility and coater meet increasing customer demand
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Oliver Medical has added capacity to meet increasing customer demand. A new coater provides 60" wide web and in-line slitting capabilities at the new Oliver facility in Comstock Park, Michigan.
Oliver's reputation for providing inventive products, superior adhesive, flexible service, and expert package engineering support has created steady growth for the company, which serves medical device manufacturers worldwide.
"Our new facility enables us to address increased demand while also providing contingency manufacturing space in case of emergency," said Jeff Murak, Oliver director of marketing and sales. "Should we ever have a situation where the Grand Rapids facility is unavailable, the new facility will provide sufficient manufacturing space to meet our customers' needs."
The Comstock Park facility's positive pressure clean room will house the new coater and space for contract medical device assembly. The coater features additional controls for a more robust process, as well as an applicator head to reduce changeover time.
The 48,000 sq. ft. building, located at 5055 W. River Drive in Comstock Park, also provides space for adhesive manufacturing, offices, and warehouse and logistics operations.
