China CAMDI conference to feature Randy Troutman as speaker, March 2007
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Randy Troutman, Oliver Medical senior engineering manager, will address how to select, test, and use medical device packaging systems at the CAMDI conference, March 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The conference will be hosted by the Chinese Association of Medical Device Industry (CAMDI), macro-molecular branch, on March 22–23 at the Sumin hotel in Wuyishan, Fujian province.
Troutman will address key topics affecting MDMs worldwide, including testing medical packaging materials; seal process validation; medical packaging material failures; and choosing a medical packaging supplier.
Specifically, Troutman's speech will include a discussion of ASTM; various relevant test methods and how to use them in material evaluation and packaging validation; sealing methods, problems and solutions; distribution modes and hazards; and barrier failures and solutions.
When it comes to choosing a medical packaging supplier, Troutman recommends considering service support, technical knowledge, and the supplier's quality policy.
Randy Troutman joined Oliver Medical in 2006, having worked previously for Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, and Kimberly Clark.
